{"id":459,"date":"2026-04-18T19:46:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-18T19:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dafox.co\/en\/?p=459"},"modified":"2026-08-12T17:42:06","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T17:42:06","slug":"esibd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dafox.co\/en\/esibd\/","title":{"rendered":"ESIBD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns df-content is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-7387b849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column df-content-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"is-style-highlight wp-block-paragraph\">Some scientific phenomena can&#8217;t be observed directly.<br>When understanding depends on invisible processes, interaction becomes a more powerful teaching tool than static diagrams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ESIBD (Electrospray Ion Beam Deposition) process allows researchers to position individual atoms, but its complexity makes it difficult to communicate to non-specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Working with researcher Kelvin Anggara at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research, we designed and developed five interactive modules, each dedicated to a specific stage of the process\u2014from electrospray generation and ion transport to STM and AFM microscopy. Breaking the experience into focused modules lets users understand one concept before introducing the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead of relying on static diagrams, users can adjust parameters and immediately observe the effects of their choices.
