Quantum, the Exhibition
- CNRS
- Illustration
Series of posters.

Making science accessible is not only about explaining complexity, but also about conveying the beauty, mystery, and elegance of scientific discovery.
Quantum physics challenges our intuition as much as our understanding. Rather than attempting to explain its concepts directly, this series of posters seeks to capture their mystery, beauty, and strangeness through compelling visual compositions.
Commissioned by physicist and science communicator Julien Bobroff for CNRS, the project consists of seven posters created as freely available educational resources for schools, laboratories, and cultural institutions.
Unlike traditional scientific illustrations, these images are not intended to provide immediate explanations. They are designed to provoke curiosity, invite contemplation, and leave a lasting visual impression. Faithful to the science without becoming literal diagrams, they encourage viewers to embrace the fascination of the unknown before seeking to understand it.
First presented at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie during the exhibition Quantum and Me!, the series continues to circulate freely in schools and laboratories, extending its impact far beyond the exhibition itself.
