Modeling of the Limbic System.

Because the human body is three-dimensional, anatomy requires three-dimensional visualization.
Developed under the direction of Dr. D. Hasboun, neurologist and professor of neuroanatomy at the CHU Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris, Brainset is an interactive 3D visualization of structures within the limbic system, based on Atlas of the Human Brain by J.K. Mai.
Anatomy is inherently spatial. Structures are not arranged side by side like elements in a diagram: they overlap, surround one another, and occupy different depths within the body. Traditional images and animations often require the viewer to mentally reconstruct these relationships.
Through WebGL technology, Brainset allows users to explore the model directly in a web browser: rotating structures, zooming, revealing layers, creating sections, and following the Papez circuit through animation. These interactions are not decorative features; they are the tools required to understand a complex three-dimensional organization.
